Here at Eidem Upholstery, customer service is our top priority. Here is what our customer Eric said about his experience with us.
Short Story - Do not let the lack of a fancy showroom fool you. Howard & Brian are the real deal, experts at their trade. Fair, honest, and highly skilled.
Long Story - I purchased two danish designer Selig Z chairs from the east coast that came with four cushions that were old and tired. I was planning to have them reupholstered when I bought them. The important thing to me was having them redone in a way that would accentuate the original beauty of the chairs, not slap on "modern" bulky cushions that would take away.
I brought the cushions to Eidem to size them up. They took one glance, told me how quickly they could turn them around and how much it would cost. I expressed an interest in supplying my own fabric and they said no problem and told me how many yards of fabric they'd need to get it done.
I went out and bought some very nice fabric in the qty they mentioned and two weeks later brought everything back to them and described the aesthetic vision that I had for chairs. One week later I got the cushions back and couldn't be happier.
Funny side story - As part of my due diligence I sought out a second estimate from another well known upholstery business in the area and with all of the exact same detailed info I provided Eidem with. These other knuckleheads proceeded to explain to me that: 1) The job would require literally 2x as much fabric as what Howard told me, 2) It would take 6 weeks to turnaround 4 cushions, 3) Labor would cost 45% more, and 4) There would be an additional $15/yd "cutting fee" for providing my own fabric. Haha, thanks but no thanks. I'll be going to Eidem for all my upholstery needs from here on out. I recommend anyone reading this do the same.
